Saluki track and field completed its first day at the Sea Ray Relays on Thursday, which saw two fourth-place finishes by Salukis in the men's and women's hammer throw.

Saluki track and field is set to compete at the Sea Ray Relays hosted by the University of Tennessee from April 10-12, beginning with the women's hammer throw on Thursday at 3 p.m. CDT.

For the second time in as many weeks sophomore thrower Josh Freeman has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Male Field Athlete of the Week, the Valley announced Tuesday.

Saluki track and field came away with third places finishes on both the men's and women's side of competition at the conclusion of the Big Blue Classic on Saturday.

The Saluki women's track team currently sits in third place and the men in fifth after the first day of the Big Blue Classic hosted by Eastern Illinois on Friday.

Saluki track and field will make the short trip up to Eastern Illinois this weekend for the Big Blue Classic for its second outdoor meet of the season on Friday and Saturday.
