Saluki track and field had 14 student-athletes earn Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete distinction for the 2013-14 season, the conference announced Friday.

Saluki track and field already has three national qualifiers and one quarterfinals qualifier after Day One of the NCAA West Region Preliminary Round Championships at Arkansas' John McDonnell Field on Thursday.

Over the next three days Saluki track and field will have 13 student-athletes compete in 17 total events at the NCAA West Region Preliminary Round Championships -- which will be held May 29-31 at the University of Arkansas' John McDonnell Field.
